Scope of Work: Fire Sprinkler System Installation
Bizzy Fire Control’s certified fire protection engineers conducted a detailed fire risk assessment of the airport precinct before commencing the installation phase. This assessment identified high-risk zones including passenger terminals, departure and arrival halls, baggage handling areas, cargo warehouses, fuel storage facilities, aircraft maintenance hangars, retail concourses, and administrative offices — each requiring a specifically engineered fire suppression approach.
The fire sprinkler system installation was carried out in full compliance with SANS 10287, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) regulations, and internationally recognised NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards applicable to aviation facilities. Wet-pipe sprinkler systems were installed throughout the main terminal buildings and commercial zones, providing immediate and reliable fire knockdown capability in areas with constant human occupancy.
